What God worked recently in my family

God has worked great in the lives of my family in the past weeks. I had to bring my mom into a hospital because of her ongoing sufferings from Alzheimer it has become to dangerous for her to live alone in her apartment, even though I lived right next to her and spent a lot time with her.

I didn’t liked to see her in the hospital ,rather than caring for her by myself, but it went to be above my ability to keep her save all the time. Yet God had a plan and He was about to work it out to the best of all, as He always does if we don’t get in His way. So I sought God’s wisdom and providence in prayer and solitude that He may give me the confidence and strength in all that happened.

Well, because this is Germany, a great deal with bureaucracy began to get my mom a place in the right retirement home to the right conditions. Besides this, all her stuff in her apartment needed to be removed as the landlord wanted to sell it, plus I had to find a new fulltime job for myself. This is only a very, very brief description on all the stuff I and, thank God, my brother had to deal with during the past weeks.

But as mentioned above God had a plan and He brought it to pass.

This is what the LORD says- your Redeemer,

the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD your God,

who teaches you what is best for you,

who directs you in the way you should go. Isa 48:17

So now my mom is settled in the retirement home, she made new friends there and is involved in a lot of activities like baking and knitting. And because the retirement home is close to my brothers home, he and his family, especially my nephew and niece, can visit her almost every day. Which is good for her as she is kept busy and well cared for all the time much better than I was able to. Especially since she lost almost all of her friends here and the things I could do with her where just limited.

Finally God gave me a new fulltime job as fitter, which is certainly a fun job to do (see picture) but I’m sure that He will have a plan for my future in ministry, as it is my hearts desire to return to the USA. Because many years ago in the USA it happened that He called me out of the darkness of my former life into a life with Him and to do the good work.

This is, as said,only briefly what God did in my and my families lives recently, but the real message is that God’s plan will be perfect for everyone if we submit to His will and have faith in Him because; The future is as bright as the promise of God.

Living our “Life with Jesus” in this world is often not easy. The world does not know us and the world hates us.

But whenever the world comes against me and it looks dark ahead of me;

I open my wallet, in which I carry for many years now a little card on which is written:

“The Future is as Bright as the Promise of God”

Now, there are more than thousand Promises in God’s word that He made to those who belong to Him. But;

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ. And so through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.

( 2 Corinthians 1:20)

Therefore we can take Abraham’s example:

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God,

but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

(Rom 4:20-21)

As we celebrate Eastern this weekend,

we are celebrating the great promise of God to David

that his son will sit on the eternal throne forever.

When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.

He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men.

But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

Your house and your kingdom shall endure for ever before me; your throne shall be established for ever.

(2 Samuel 7:12-16)

Yes, that we have a living God who will be our king for all eternity.

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.

Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. Never, Lord! he said. This shall never happen to you!

Jesus turned and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

(Matthew 16:21-28)

When it looks dark ahead of us, we can be sure of God’s promise that

darkness will end with the light of a new day:

A righteous man may have many troubles,

but the LORD delivers him from them all.

(Ps 34:19)

weeping may remain for a night,

but rejoicing comes in the morning.

(Ps 30:5b)

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

(La 3:21-23)

God’s greatest Promise is this:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3.16)

God promised to be with us always:

God has said,Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

(Heb 13:5b)

In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so,

I would have told you.

I am going there to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

(John 14:2-3)

Crop For Biofuel 3

God has given a clear instruction on how to use the plants that He let grow on Earth by His great wisdom:

Then God said, I give you every seed-bearing plant

on the face of the whole earth

and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.

They will be yours for food. (Genesis 1:29)

In view of the chaos, produced by the German government, concerning the introduction of the E 10 biofuel and because it is forced upon the people to be used I want to remind them that God’s word stands and His will, will be done:

Because they lead my people astray, saying,

Peace, when there is no peace, and because,

when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,

therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall.

Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down,

and violent winds will burst forth. (Ezekiel 13:10,11)

Scientists in the UK and the USA have found that cultivation of biofuels may increase the output of CO2 and other gases (NO) blamed for global warming because of changes in land use. When the full cycle
of biofuels is considered it can be argued that the moderate tailpipe emissions savings are outweighed by far greater emissions from deforestation, burning, drainage, cultivation and soil carbon losses.

Greenpeace and Oxfam call the current EU policies reckless because fuel providers are not yet obliged to source biofuels from sustainable sources. Greenpeace states that rainforests are being destroyed to
make way for biofuel crops and that this destruction leads to massive greenhouse emissions. Greenpeace attributes 1/5 of the worlds greenhouse gas emissions to the destruction of peatland forests in

A Valentine For Everyone

Here’s a Valentine from the ONE who loved us before we were and who will love us for all eternity:

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:

I have loved you with an everlasting love;

I have drawn you with loving-kindness. (Jer. 31:3)

and this is HIS gift to us:

For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish

but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Me & my Mom

Last Monday was my mom’s 82nd birthday! We had a great time together going shopping in the morning and then cooking a nice lunch for us. And of course, we had coffee and cake together

Unfortunately the weather was not nice and so we stayed home. We prayed together and read in God’s word (Isaiah 46:4 and alike) what He has to say to us when we get older and so closer to Him.

I love my mom so much and I am thankful to God that I can spend time with my mom and care for her daily (1 Tim. 5:4) especially since she is suffering from Alzheimer. God is really good to us and we are blessed to be His children!

His name is praised forever!

God is with us

It is amazing how God shows us that He is with us. I mean for me it’s without any doubt that He is present in my life all the time. In my home I have scriptures hanging on the wall and Bibles and other Christian books lying around. So anybody entering my home could easily guess my believe. Plus I am living out loud my Christian life.

Unfortunately in this country society says that your believe has to be kept to yourself and only be lived out in going to church on Sunday. But that surely doesn’t mean that God is not present in this country and sometimes He lets me know He is there when I least expect. So happened this week when I had to call the heating service for my mom because her heating was not working properly.

Well, long explanation for a short but amazing story; I called the heating service, explained my cause to the lady on the other side and she then put me on the waiting line for the right technician. Then it happened – they played a, for me, well-known english worship song that we used to sing in the USA and which I had not heard anyplace else.

Of course making this experience in a country that believes God is only with us when we go to church on Sundays made me think “wow” and “Praise the Lord” and certainly “Thank you Lord”.

Now I hope the explanation for this short but, for me, really amazing story was not to long as without it, it would not be amazing as it truly is.

Least not to mention that this heating service could help get my mom’s heating fixed immediately although they are flooded with emergency calls now that it is deepest winter here. But I’m sure you guessed that after reading the above.
