Today, as my mom and I were on the road driving to visit my brother’s family we heard on the radio a report of the German Evangelical church. Usally these reports are quite useless but today we and all listeners learned about the the visit of the Magi to baby Jesus to bring their gifts to the newborn King.

Attending my nephews “Confirmation” in a German Evangelical Church was somehow painful. Jesus lives was written on the Churches window, yet crosses with Jesus nailed to it were present all over the place. Maybe that is so because when God’s word was read it was in a manner like one would read an instruction manual. [...]

Well, my mom and I will be out of town over the weekend to attend my nephews confirmation. My brother and his wife let him chose whether he wants to do this. It is simply tradition here in Germany and although it has no real meaning before God I think it’s his decision. At least [...]
